Set it on my desk and it rocks back and forth with barely a nudge, which I catch myself doing during calls. The walnut and red pine grain is gorgeous up close, and the leather tail feels softer than the photos suggest.
The little brass details on the whale's tail catch the light nicely, and the walnut body has a warm grain that looks even better in person. I set it on my desk and gave it a nudge, and it just kept gliding back and forth on its own for a while. Genuinely a calming thing to have around.
The brass and walnut combo looks lovely on my shelf, and the leather strap is a nice touch, but it takes a bit of practice to get the bobbing motion going smoothly. Once it's moving though, it really does sway gently for a while.
