The contrast in this shot is gorgeous—the smoke catching the stage lights makes the whole scene feel alive, even in black and white. Captures that Winterland energy perfectly, and the print quality does the original photo justice.

It’s been up on my wall for a month now and I still catch myself staring at it mid-song, the way the stage light catches Garcia’s silhouette in that Winterland haze is just right. The grain and contrast on this print feel true to that era—you can almost smell the Winterland floor. It’s the kind of shot that makes you stare for a minute, picking out the details in the crowd and the stage setup. Hung it in my office and it’s already a conversation piece.
