The print arrived well-packaged and the black-and-white tones feel true to the 1977 era, not overly contrasty or washed out. I've stared at the crowd and stage setup for a good while — it's the kind of historical document that pulls you right into that Pier 31 night.

The archival paper has a nice weight to it, and the black-and-white contrast really brings out the energy of that 1977 Pier 31 show. I framed it next to my desk and keep catching myself staring at the crowd details.

The grain on this print is gorgeous—it really captures the raw energy of that Pier 31 show without losing any detail in the shadows. Greg Gaar’s photo speaks for itself, and the black-and-white finish makes it feel like you’re standing right in the crowd.
