Keith Richards, Rolling Stones, NYC, 1988

That shot of him leaning over the pool cue just captures his whole cool, unguarded vibe. The print has this rich, deep black that makes the bar look exactly like a late-night dive. I’ve stared at it for ten minutes straight and still notice something new.

The graininess of the black and white print gives it this raw, informal feel you just don't get from staged rock photos. You can practically hear the pool balls clicking in that empty room. It's hanging in my hallway now and every guest stops to ask about it.

The vacant bar with just a pool table and two guys drinking gives this shot a intimacy you don't see in typical rock photos. Print quality is sharp enough that you can read the labels on the bottles behind him. It's hanging in my hallway and every guest stops at it.
