The brass is heavier and sturdier than I expected, so it feels like it’ll actually protect my loose leaf for a long time. The lid fits snugly, which is exactly what you want to keep the aroma locked in. I’m already thinking about buying a second one for my chamomile.
I was worried the metal might leave a metallic taste on my tea stash, but the latch closes so firmly that the aroma inside stays totally intact after a month of daily use. The 100 g size is perfect for my counter and the brass finish actually looks nice sitting out.
