The light gray is exactly the neutral I wanted, it somehow works with both my everyday plates and the good china. After a wash it softened up nicely and the simple seam keeps it looking clean rather than fussy.
The linen has that slightly rustic texture I was hoping for, and the simple seam keeps it from looking fussy on the table. Washed it once and it came out softer with barely any wrinkles.
