帆船フィジー号の難破船の最後の名残であるこの古い錨に魅了されました。私はこの荒々しい場所の雰囲気と歴史の中で、難破船の海岸を何日もかけて探索しました。巨大な海が私を飲み込もうと迫る中、私はこの錨の画像を撮影しました。潮の grasping する指の下で、遅いシャッタースピードが怒れる海の波を夢のような霧の毛布に変えました。
The moodiness of that old anchor against the wreck coast really comes through in the print. I keep it above my desk and the atmosphere pulls me back to Victoria every time. Paper quality feels substantial too, no glare at all.
The story behind this print drew me in before I even framed it — the last anchor of the Fiji sitting on that shipwreck coast is such a haunting detail. It's hanging by my reading chair now and I keep finding new things in it, the muted tones suit the mood perfectly.
