The ladder platforms were the selling point for me since my heavier hens struggle with jumping up to the main roost bar. Watched three of them hop up the rungs without hesitation the first evening. The wood stand feels solid enough that it doesn't wobble when they jostle for space.

My girls took to this roost right away, and the wood stand feels solid even with a dozen of them jostling for the top spot at night. The ladder platforms give the younger hens a place to hop up gradually instead of fighting for one bar.

The ladder platforms are sturdy enough that even my heaviest Buff Orpington hops on without it wobbling, and cleaning the wood stand underneath takes minutes. My 12 hens rotate through the perches every night now instead of crowding the floor.
