収穫期にサスカチュワン州の中心部で過ごした数週間は、私に大草原の風景との深いつながりをもたらしました。広大な野原の向こうには、風化した納屋が立っていました。かつては小麦の貯蔵に欠かせなかったそれらは、今では放棄され、自然のままにさらされています。私は、その存在感と周囲の土地の素朴さの両方を捉えたいと思いました。Noblexカメラを使用して、納屋へと続く畝と、地平線の微妙な曲線を強調しました。それは、自然の力と時間の経過を印象的に思い起こさせるものです。
The golden light over those endless fields is captured so perfectly it's like standing right there in the middle of harvest. Every time I look at it, I feel that quiet, wide-open calm of Saskatchewan.
The weathered barns in this piece feel like they’ve absorbed decades of prairie sun, and the golden light on the fields is so true to harvest season it takes me right back. It’s the kind of art that makes you pause and just breathe for a minute.
The weathered barns are what got me—they feel genuinely lived-in, not staged like so many landscape shots. Would've liked a bit more detail in the distant treeline, but the harvest light captured here is honest and warm.
