The 28L size fits my PFD, lunch, and a dry change of clothes without feeling bulky on the deck. That ultra-tough nylon has already shrugged off being dragged across wet rocks and gravel. Easily the toughest bag I've taken out on the water.
Took this out on a rainy paddle trip and the nylon shrugged off the water completely. The straps didn't dig in even after a few hours of carrying it, which is more than I can say for my old bag.
