Retro51 Tornado PROOF - シータートル ネイビーブルーラッカーボールペン

Wasn’t sure what to expect from a pre-production piece, but the navy lacquer body feels flawlessly smooth and the weight in hand is just right for long writing sessions. Knowing only a handful exist makes it feel special every time I uncap it — this one’s staying in my daily rotation.

The lacquer really is something else in person—that navy blue has so much depth under the light. Knowing it’s a pre-production proof from the very start of the process makes it feel special every time I pick it up, and the weight in my hand is perfectly balanced for writing.

Holding this in my hand, you can tell it’s not a regular production run—the navy lacquer has a hand-finished depth that feels almost alive. It’s a smooth writer straight out of the box, and knowing only a handful of these proofs exist makes using it feel special every time.
