無垢オーク、ソープ仕上げ

I was worried soap-treated oak would feel unfinished or rough, but it's surprisingly smooth and has this pale, matte look I really like. It picks up fingerprints less than I expected, and a quick wipe with a damp cloth is enough to keep it looking new.

The soap finish keeps the oak looking pale and natural instead of yellowing like oil tends to. I used it on a small side table and it dried with that soft matte feel I was after. Touch-ups are easy too, just a bit more soap solution and it blends right in.

The finish gives the wood that soft, matte glow I wanted for our shelving—looks almost raw but still feels protected against daily fingerprints. It went on evenly and dried to the exact pale, untreated vibe the description promised, no sticky residue at all.
