Soundgarden, San Francisco, CA, 1989

The detail in this black-and-white print is incredible—you can really feel the raw energy from that 1989 Phoenix Hotel show. I love how the shadows and light capture Soundgarden’s early stage presence perfectly. It’s a standout piece in my music memorabilia collection.

I bought this for my husband who’s a huge Soundgarden fan, and the black-and-white grain really captures that raw 1989 club vibe. He stared at it for a solid five minutes before he even said a word.

The grain and shadow work in this shot capture their early live intensity perfectly. The Phoenix Hotel setting adds this gritty authenticity that really comes through in the print. Framed it in my office and guests always stop to ask about it.
