The edges are sanded smooth enough that my yarn doesn't snag at all, which was my main worry. I got a length just under my warp width like the description suggests and it glides through the shed nicely.
Bought the 11 inch one for my 15 inch table loom and it's the perfect fit — the tip slides through the shed without snagging any threads. The wood has a nice weight to it too, not too light where it feels flimsy.
These are so smooth the weft glides right off without snagging, which is exactly what I needed on a wide cotton warp. I grabbed one slightly shorter than my warp width like the listing suggests, and the edges stay clean.
