The marble column catches light so beautifully that the lamp doubles as a sculpture when it's off, which I didn't expect. It's solid and heavy in a good way, and the glow it gives off is soft enough for reading but still feels elegant.
The light it throws is surprisingly warm for an LED, nothing harsh or clinical about it. I've got it on my nightstand and the marble column looks way more expensive than what I paid.
That marble column base is way heavier than I expected, which keeps the whole thing from tipping when my cat brushes past it. The dimmer glides smoothly from a soft glow to bright enough to read by, and it looks like a sculpture on my nightstand even when it's off.
