Tom Waits, The Troubadour, Los Angeles, CA, 1975

The heavy black grain in this print really sells the smoky club atmosphere from that 1975 Troubadour set. It’s the best piece in my small music photography collection so far.

That midnight show energy is perfectly frozen in this print—you can almost hear the gravel in his voice. The paper has a nice, archival weight that makes it feel like a real piece of history.

The contrast in this print really brings out the grit of that Troubadour midnight show, especially how the shadows fall around his face. I've got it framed in my living room and it's already a conversation starter.
