ウェイロン・ジェニングス + ジョニー・キャッシュ、ヘンダーソンビル・ローラースケートリンク、テネシー州、1987年

You can almost feel the linoleum floor of that old rink just looking at this shot. Shooter's party must have been something else, and the image captures that perfect, candid moment between father and son. The 1987 date really grounds it in a specific slice of country music history.

The grain and contrast in this print really bring out the mood of that private roller rink party—you can almost hear the skates squeaking. It's a piece of country music history that feels both intimate and iconic, and the framing captures the two legends perfectly.

I had no idea Johnny Cash rented out a whole roller rink for Shooter's party—this black-and-white print captures that slice of history perfectly. The paper has a nice archival weight to it, and the contrast on Waylon's guitar really pops.
