ZEUS Velvet - Tobacco

The cranes and weeping willows on this velvet are even prettier in person, and the tobacco-brown base is warmer than I expected. It's plush enough to use as a throw pillow front, though I'd line it if you're sewing something structured.

I sewed this into cushion covers and the cranes and weeping willows look almost painted rather than woven. The velvet pile is short enough that it doesn't crush under the needle, and the earthy brown works beautifully with my oak furniture.

The tobacco-brown base is warmer and richer in person than I expected from the photos, and the velvet pile feels genuinely soft without being slippery. I used it to re-cover a reading chair cushion and it instantly made the corner feel calmer.
