I swapped out my plain linen shade for this 25cm empire one and the red aqua seaweed motif completely changed the corner of my living room. The gathered cotton softens the light nicely, no harsh glare when I'm reading at night.

The gathered cotton has a lovely hand to it, and the seaweed motif reads much subtler in person than I feared. At 25cm it's just right on my narrow bedside table, throwing a warm pool of light without glare.

I picked the red aqua colorway hoping it would warm up my reading corner, and it does — the seaweed motif is subtle up close but reads almost like a watercolor from across the room. The 25cm empire shape sits perfectly on my small brass base without looking cramped.
