The color payoff is honestly stunning for the size—each pan is so richly pigmented that a tiny touch goes a long way. I've been tossing it in my tote for lunch-break sketches, and the brush pens make it easy to work without hauling extra water.

I’ve been using this set almost daily for a month now and the pigment payoff still surprises me—one dip on the brush pen goes a long way, even on the small pans. The palette stays snug in my bag for park sketching, which is exactly what I needed.

The 50 pans snap securely into the compact case, which is nice for tossing in a bag without worrying about a mess. It’s a solid travel kit, though I wish the included brush pens were a bit sturdier—they work fine for quick sketches, just not for detailed linework.
