The birch hardwood feels so much warmer in my hands than my old aluminum hooks, especially during long evening knitting sessions. The smooth finish catches the yarn just right without any snagging, and knowing they're made from sustainably harvested wood is a nice bonus.
The cable hooks glide through worsted weight yarn without snagging, and the smoothness honestly surprised me compared to the metal ones I used for years. Being made from birch hardwood here in California is a nice bonus too.
The birch hardwood has a lovely warm feel that doesn't slip against my fingers the way metal does, and the smooth finish keeps my yarn from snagging on the cable. After a full sweater's worth of cabling, my hands didn't ache once.
