I was surprised by how much ground this book covers—it’s not just the chairs, but the whole range from films to toys and exhibitions, all tied together with sharp analysis. The visual layouts make flipping through feel like exploring their actual studio, and I kept finding new details on every page.
The way it weaves together their furniture, films, and even toys into one coherent story really made the depth of their work click for me. The exhibition design sections, in particular, gave me a fresh appreciation for how they thought about space.
The sheer range in here is what got me—one minute you’re reading about furniture, the next you’re deep into their exhibition layouts and film work. It’s dense but never dry, and the photography makes you want to flip back through it immediately.
