I made this for my nephew's nursery and the little rotor on top came out adorable. Working with light yarn kept it from getting bulky, and the whole thing took me just a couple of evenings.
The pattern was surprisingly easy to follow for a crochet newbie like me, and the little rotor blades turned out so cute. I used a light cotton yarn and it worked up in just a few evenings.
