Jefferson Airplane, Montreal, Canada, August 1967.

The grain on this black-and-white shot is exactly what I wanted, that raw 1967 concert feel. You can almost hear the band just from the way the stage light hits them in Montreal. Ron Rakow caught something real here.

Didn't expect the print quality to hold up this well for a 1967 shot — the crowd's faces in the lower corner are still sharp. Hanging it above my turntable, and the black border frames it nicely without a mat.

The graininess of the black-and-white print gives it that raw 1967 feel, like you're actually in the crowd. Mounted it above my turntable and it pairs perfectly with my vintage vinyl setup.
