마일스 데이비스, 링컨 센터 공연, 뉴욕, 1981

This photo captures Miles at his most intense, the way his trumpet is almost leaning into the frame feels so alive. The paper stock has a nice matte finish that cuts down on glare, which made it easy to frame. It’s a moody shot that brings 1981 Lincoln Center right into my living room.

The way Tann captured the intensity of Miles’s trumpet playing in that 1981 Lincoln Center shot is incredible—you can almost feel the music. The black-and-white tones make it feel timeless, like a moment frozen in history. It’s now the centerpiece of my living room wall.

The contrast in this print really makes the black-and-white tones pop—you can feel the heat of that Lincoln Center stage. It’s been up in my listening room for a week and I catch myself staring at it during every record.
