The fold-down design is what sold me, it tucks into the drawer instead of hogging counter space. Ran my chef's knife through the coarse wheel then the fine one and it sliced tomatoes cleanly again. The non-slip feet actually hold steady, no wobbling mid-stroke.
My old knives were embarrassingly dull, so I grabbed this and the coarse wheel brought my chef's knife back in maybe a minute. The non-slip feet actually keep it planted on the counter instead of sliding around. Folds flat too, which is nice since my drawers are already packed.
I was skeptical about the folding design, but it locks solidly in place and the non-slip feet keep it steady on the counter. The coarse wheel took care of my dullest chef's knife in a few passes, and it folds flat enough to toss in a drawer.
