The suction bottom is solid—it hasn't budged once, even with my 70-pound mutt shoving his whole face in. Watching him actually pause between bites and sniff around for the kibble is a weirdly satisfying change of pace.
My labrador used to finish dinner in under thirty seconds, now he's actually working for his kibble for a solid ten minutes. The suction holds tight against the stainless steel bowl and the little ridges keep him focused. He seems genuinely happier at mealtime, which is a huge win for us both.
The suction base actually holds it in place even with my hyper pup shoving his nose around. It took him about three times as long to finish his kibble, and he seems genuinely entertained by nosing out each little nook.
