Elodie Loiseleur의 The Pine

The texture of the oil on panel is so rich you can almost feel the bark, and at 84cm it's got real presence on the wall. I keep catching myself staring at the glow of that late walk every time I pass it.

The late-afternoon light in this pine really captures that Villa Borghese walk, the oil on panel giving it a warmth that photos don't do justice. It's 84 by 60 cm, so it holds its own on the wall without overwhelming the room, and the wood grain under the paint adds a nice depth.

The texture of the oil on panel is something else up close, you can really see the brushwork in the pine needles. It's 84 by 60 cm, so it holds its own as a statement piece above my sofa, and the mood of that late afternoon walk just radiates off it.
