I was tired of scratching my countertop every time I made espresso, so this mat is a lifesaver. The cushioning absorbs the tamp perfectly, and the surface is easy to wipe clean after a messy session.
The rubber base grips the counter perfectly, so my portafilter doesn’t slide around while I’m pressing down. It’s a solid little mat that’s saved my benchtop from a few clumsy knocks already.
My countertops finally stay clean since I started using this mat—the grippy surface holds the portafilter steady while I tamp, and it takes up barely any space next to the machine. It’s made my whole espresso routine feel much more polished.
