The 3 oz bottle is plenty for daily writing, and this golden-brown hue shifts between amber and tan depending on the nib width. It's got that earthy, mineral character the name suggests, and flows nicely without any hard starts in my fine pen.
That golden-brown shade is exactly what the mineral name promises—it shades beautifully on Tomoe River paper and dries to a warm, almost sepia tone. The 3 oz bottle is generous enough that I won't run out for ages.
The 3 oz bottle feels hefty and well-made, and the color dries to a warm, earthy golden-brown that looks great on cream paper. Shading is subtle but present, which keeps it interesting without being flashy.
