45cm straight empire-skjerm i jet-striper håndmalt kort

The slightly mottled paint work gives it a warmth that a machine-made shade just can't match, and the jet stripes add just the right amount of drama to our reading corner. It's been up for two weeks now and I still catch myself staring at how the light plays off those little imperfections.

I was a little worried the hand-painted look might feel cheap, but the slight mottle in the jet stripes gives it a really bespoke feel under the light. Looks perfect on my desk lamp.

The sizing is spot on for my 45cm lamp base, and the jet stripes have a lovely hand-drawn quality that shifts in the light. It’s the kind of shade that makes the whole room feel a bit more curated, and the mottled paint really does hide everyday dust.
