Grabbed a can for a quick weeknight dinner and the beans were perfectly tender, not mushy at all. The sauce has a nice gentle warmth that made a simple jacket potato with cheese and sour cream feel like a proper meal. Will definitely keep a couple in the pantry for those lazy evenings.
Slathered these over a jacket potato with a big spoonful of sour cream and it was proper comfort food. The beans are nicely thick and the chilli has a gentle warmth that doesn't burn. A solid, healthy option when I'm short on time.
Ended up spooning this straight from the pan into a jacket potato with sour cream, and the black beans are properly tender with a gentle warmth that doesn't overpower the cheese. Cooked in under ten minutes, which made it a lifesaver on a busy evening.
