Daddy Cool's Gabriel's Halo Tomatchutney

I slathered it on a cheese toastie last night and the vine-ripe tomato sweetness really comes through before the chilli kick lands. The sweet peppers add a nice texture that I wasn't expecting from a chutney.

The balance of sweet and heat is spot-on—those vine-ripe tomatoes and sweet peppers come through clearly, and the spice lingers just enough to make you go back for another spoonful. I've already slathered it on three different dinners this week, and the jar's half empty.

I opened the jar expecting just another chutney, but the vine-ripe tomatoes really come through with a warmth that builds nicely without overwhelming. A spoonful over a simple cheese sandwich turned it into something I’ll be making again this week.
