Pepperkakehus Lag Din Egen Adventskalender

These little houses are the cutest thing to set out on the kitchen counter. I filled each one with a different chocolate for the kids, and they're actually sturdy enough to hold the treats without collapsing. The countdown is so much more fun than just opening a cardboard door.

My kids are obsessed with counting down the days, and popping these gingerbread houses together took us an entire fun afternoon. They're the perfect size to fill with little sweets, and surprisingly sturdy once assembled. The only problem now is hiding them so no one peeks at the treats before Decem

The houses popped up easily enough, though a couple of the roof pieces needed a bit of extra pressing to stay in place. Filling them with mini candy canes and chocolate coins each evening has made the countdown genuinely fun.
