Hinoki i Hinoki • Scents of Wood

The cypress and hinoki come through first, then the clove and moss settle in about an hour later. Wore it on a rainy Tuesday and kept catching it on my scarf all afternoon. Cedarwood in the base keeps it from going sweet, which is exactly what I wanted.

I was worried clove would make this smell like a holiday candle, but it just adds a warm spice that burns off within twenty minutes. What's left is dry cedarwood and moss with that hinoki greenness underneath, and it lasts a solid six hours on my skin.
