The stretch fabric hugs the tube so it doesn't slide out, even after a couple weeks bouncing around in my bag. Maroon matches my backpack almost exactly, which was a nice surprise.
Clipped this to my keys the day it arrived and my lip balm hasn't rolled around the bottom of my bag since. The maroon color is deeper than the photos, which I actually prefer. It slides onto a carabiner fine and the balm doesn't budge when I pull it out.
The stretchy woven fabric actually grips the tube instead of letting it slide out like my old holder did. It's survived two weeks bouncing around in my bag with my keys and the balm hasn't budged once.
