The 15-second read time is what sold me, and it really is that fast. Stuck it in a roast chicken and had my number before the oven timer even beeped. No more dry chicken on Sundays.
I've been guessing at doneness for years, and this little dial finally settled it for me. It reads in about 15 seconds, which is perfect when I've got the oven door open and hungry kids circling. Pulled my pork roast at exactly the right temp and it came out juicy for once.
Grabbed this for checking chicken breasts on the grill and it hit the right temp in maybe 15 seconds, way faster than the old one I had. The dial's easy to read at a glance and the probe wipes clean without any fuss.
