The light yarn keeps the stitches neat and it works up quicker than I expected for something with this many color changes. I ended up with a scoop that actually looks swirled, and my daughter hasn't put it down since.
Made this for my niece's toy basket and the pastel scoops came out so cute. The pattern is easy to follow even for someone like me who's only been crocheting a few months. Took me two evenings, and now I want to make a whole set in different colors.
The light yarn makes the scoops look soft instead of stiff, which is exactly what I wanted for a baby toy. Took me an evening to finish the whole thing and now it sits on the shelf looking like summer.
