We love our hand painted shades. Each one is unique, and somehow the little imperfections in the paint work, and the slightly mottled look, add to the...well... perfection. Achingly simple, and in no way showy or brash, these gorgeous shades will feel at home in almost any environment.

The hand-painted finish gives it such character—the little mottled spots make it feel like a piece of art rather than just a lampshade. It clips onto my existing fixture perfectly and casts a warm, cozy glow in the corner of my reading nook.

I was a little worried the scarlet stitches might be too bold, but the colour is rich and warm against the mottled card, exactly the accent I needed in my reading nook. It clips on perfectly and casts such a soft, cosy glow.

The scarlet paint has this lovely handmade depth to it that photos don't quite capture, and the 12cm size sits perfectly on my bedside lamp. I keep catching myself staring at the way the light glows through the hand-painted finish.
