We love our hand painted shades. Each one is unique, and somehow the little imperfections in the paint work, and the slightly mottled look and wonky lines, add to the...well... perfection. Achingly simple, and in no way showy or brash, these gorgeous shades will feel at home in almost any environment.

I was nervous about the wonky lines from the description, but in person they give the shade so much character. It casts a lovely, warm light in my reading nook, and the hand-painted finish feels substantial and unique.

The mottled finish is exactly what I hoped for—it catches the light in a way that feels almost alive. The wonky lines aren't a flaw, they make it look like a real artist held the brush. Only wish the shade were a touch taller for my lamp base.

Sophia M. ★★★★☆ Oct 18, 2026

The hand-painted lines are delightfully imperfect, just as described, and the mottled finish gives it real character. It casts a lovely soft light in the hallway, though I wish the paint were just a touch more even around the top rim.
