The marbling of paper is a craft that dates back hundreds of years, and it is fascinating to watch. Paints and oils are carefully dropped onto a thickened water, and are then raked and stretched to create the pattern. The paper is then slowly laid on top and once imprinted removed from the liquid and dried. No two pieces of paper can ever be the same. We are thrilled with these patterns - bold and brilliant. Please note that due to the smaller surface area required to create this effect, this shade will have two seams.

Richard ★★★★★

The marbled paper pattern on this shade is genuinely mesmerizing up close—the red tones shift depending on the light. I love that it’s a true 18cm pendant, so it fits perfectly without overwhelming my small space. It’s clearly handcrafted, which makes it feel special.

Emily W. ★★★★★

The marbled pattern is even richer in person than in the photos—each swirl catches the light differently depending on the angle. It's the perfect 18cm size for my bedside lamp, and the paper shade gives off a warm, soft glow that makes the whole room feel cozier.

Sebastian ★★★★☆

I hung this in my reading nook and the light filtering through the paper gives the room a warm, organic glow. The red tones shift slightly depending on the time of day, which feels almost like having two different shades. Only wish the cord was a few inches longer for my setup.
