The marbling of paper is a craft that dates back hundreds of years, and it is fascinating to watch. Paints and oils are carefully dropped onto a thickened water, and are then raked and stretched to create the pattern. The paper is then slowly laid on top and once imprinted removed from the liquid and dried. No two pieces of paper can ever be the same. We are thrilled with these patterns - bold and brilliant. Please note that due to the smaller surface area required to create this effect, this shade will have two seams.

Nicholas J. ★★★★★

The golden piave paper has this subtle iridescence that shifts as you move around the room, and the 20cm height is perfect for my bedside table. I caught myself just staring at the marbled patterns for a solid five minutes after I switched it on.

Charlotte ★★★★★

The way the paint swirls look almost wet even after the shade dried is stunning. It fits perfectly on my small table lamp and casts a warm golden glow across the room. I keep finding new details in the marbling every time I look.

Sebastian F. ★★★★★

The handmade paper has a lovely tactile quality that feels much more substantial than I expected, and the golden marbling catches the light beautifully in our reading nook. It took just under three weeks to arrive, but the craftsmanship was absolutely worth the wait.
