The Zaraband design pays homage to the noble traditions of early 19th-century Central Asian textiles. Inspired by an Abra smock from the period, the Zaraband ikat features delicate tonal transitions that echo the elegant patterns of silk Abra kurtas, which were once worn exclusively by aristocratic women to display both wealth and power.

The red is deeper and richer in person than I expected from the photos, almost a brick tone. The gathered linen gives the light a soft, diffused glow that makes my reading corner feel warm without being harsh.

Harper ★★★★★

The gathered linen gives the shade a lovely soft texture that glows when the lamp's on. The red ikat has these subtle tonal shifts you only notice up close, and the 40cm empire shape fits my bedside base perfectly.

Carter ★★★★★

The tonal transitions in the red ikat really do look like something out of a museum textile — it's got this depth that flat printed shades just can't match. The gathered linen has a lovely weight to it too, and it casts a warm, slightly mottled glow when the lamp's on. Took me a while to find a 40cm
