We love our hand painted shades. Each one is unique, and somehow the little imperfections in the paint work, and the slightly mottled look, add to the...well... perfection. Achingly simple, and in no way showy or brash, these gorgeous shades will feel at home in almost any environment.

The mottled tangerine ripples catch the light so differently depending on the time of day, it's like owning two shades in one. The 45cm size sits perfectly over my table lamp, and the hand painted card has that lovely, uneven texture you just can't get from a machine.

The hand-painted finish gives this shade a lovely texture that feels almost like handmade paper. It casts a warm, mottled glow across the room that changes with the light. Exactly the sort of quiet, character-filled piece I was hoping for.

The ripples in this lampshade catch the light beautifully when it’s on, giving the whole room a warm glow. It’s wider than I expected for a 45cm shade, so it really makes a statement above my side table.
