Even though it's just a napkin, the open weave and that washed finish make it feel like a proper tablecloth for our campsite. We've used them for two picnics now and they still look crisp, not wrinkled like my kitchen towels. These definitely make a hot dog feel a bit more fancy.
The washed finish makes these feel broken-in right out of the package, no stiffness at all. The open weave dries fast, which surprised me since linen usually holds damp. They've basically replaced my paper napkins at every backyard dinner.
Brought these on our last camping trip and they somehow made eating chili out of a tin feel fancy. The washed linen is soft right out of the package and the tri-color stripes hide spills better than I expected.
