BC17 Black Wall Clock by Braun

"Good design is as little design as possible." - Dieter Rams

Not burdened with non-essentials. The BC17 Wall Clock features a large, easy to read dial layout and timeless design, honouring Ram's 10 principles. The clockwork is silent, the yellow tipped second hand floats in one continuous movement across the dial. No ticking - just time.

Dieter Rams, the influential modernist whose work at Braun defined an era of functional elegance, created objects that whisper rather than shout. His philosophy of reduction—removing the unnecessary until only the essential remains—continues to resonate through contemporary design discourse, establishing a visual language where form follows function with quiet authority.
