The pale chalky tone is exactly what I hoped for, muted but not washed out. I've had them on with cuffed jeans all week and they've stayed put without any slipping at the heel. They feel like a small piece of that dry mountain quiet.
Wore these on a gravel hike last weekend and the ankle support held up better than my old pair ever did. The color is subtle enough that they work with jeans too, not just trail pants.
The pale, chalky color really does look like a little piece of stone against my skin, and it's surprisingly breathable for an ankle sock during warmer days. I've worn them on a handful of hikes and they've held their shape without slipping down, which is more than I can say for most of my others. Th
