CHEMEX Bonded™ filters are based on laboratory paper and designed to remove fats, bitterness, acidity, and sediments that other types of filters leave behind. By filtering these undesirable elements out, you will brew an incredibly flavorful and pure cup of coffee. The formulation of the filter permits the proper infusion time - not too slow, not too fast.

These filters are noticeably thicker than the standard ones I've used, and the pre-folded squares sit perfectly in the carafe without any flimsy collapsing. My coffee comes out noticeably cleaner and brighter, with none of that gritty sediment at the bottom of my cup.

I was skeptical about spending extra on lab-grade paper, but the difference in the cup is honestly night and day. My coffee keeps its full body yet comes out so much brighter, with zero gritty sediment at the bottom of the mug. These pre-folded squares sit perfectly in the brewer too, so no more wre

My pour-over has never tasted this clean—the bonded lab paper really does strip out the bitterness and sediment, leaving a cup that’s noticeably smoother. I’m on my second box already, and I love that they come pre-folded, so no fiddling with creases before brewing.
