The curving swirls of the Copacabana Outdoor Lounge Chair from GUBI provide a memorable mix of comfort and visual intrigue, adding new relevance to a Mathieu Matégot classic. An inspired update to the designer’s existing creation, the piece is fabricated from coated stainless steel, adding a soft circle cushion, a 360-degree pivoting circular seat, and weather-resistant fabric while updating the back angle for better comfort. Each item is a quality of life upgrade that keeps Matégot’s original vision of his signature design intact while adding the functionality of the 21st century.

Penelope ★★★★★

The swirl pattern catches afternoon light beautifully and honestly feels like a sculpture you can sit in. The curving frame supports my back perfectly while I read for hours on the patio.

Leo ★★★★★

The curve of the backrest hits just right for lounging—I sank into it with a book and lost an entire afternoon. It's got that retro charm that makes my patio feel like a tiny resort, and the frame feels solid enough to last through many summers.

Sophia T. ★★★★★

I wasn’t sure how comfortable a metal chair could really be, but the curved swirls cradle you in a way that makes sitting outside feel like a small luxury. It’s sturdy enough that I don’t worry about it tipping on the patio, and the design definitely sparks a conversation every time someone visits.
