I am constantly searching for that perfect shot - a combination of many things that really speak to me. The canyons of the Southwest constantly draw me back with their power of texture and light. I knew, after walking Antelope Canyon many times, the high midday sun could produce an amazing light show. As I traversed the abyss, I had a strange feeling. I turned the corner and was stunned by an incredible beam of light. It drew me like a magnet. I set up my camera in a fluster and felt exhilarated after a few frames. It was a special moment -at one with nature at its finest.

The way the light hits those narrow slot canyons is almost impossible to describe, and this print actually captures it. I hung it in my hallway and it pulls me right back to that trip every time I walk past.

The texture in the canyon walls comes through nicely, and the warm orange tones feel true to what I saw at Page. That said, the print is a bit softer than I expected at this size, so it loses some of the fine detail up close. Still a solid piece for the price.
